On July 18, academics, diplomats and military officials, among several scholars and professionals who deal with security and defense issues in Brazil, participated in the 2nd Preparatory Meeting of the Forte de Copacabana International Security Conference to debate the topic International Crisis Management.
Held in Rio, the event addressed three main axes: the perspectives of multilateralism, the role of civil-military coordination in crisis management and the experience of international cooperation in the prevention, resolution and stabilization of conflicts. The discussion followed the 1st Preparatory Meeting, in Brasília, which dealt with cyber security, the risks of using robots and fake profiles in the propagation of fake news and interference in democracies, in April.
