Financing Change: Norway’s experience in sharing wealth

The event, organized in the presence of Norwegian Minister of Finance, Trygve Slagsvold Vedum and Governor of the Central Bank of Norway, Ida Wolden Bache, will promote a discussion on Norway's experience in redistributing wealth from the use of natural resources. Jointly organized by CEBRI and the Norwegian diplomatic network in Brazil, the event will shed light on Norwegian tax policy related to the exploitation of nature and the mechanisms developed to build an egalitarian society committed to environmental preservation. After the keynote addresses, the event will promote a discussion on the Norwegian model, its replicability, the sectors in which it may apply and the modalities of its use.
