COP30 | Creating value from minerals for the transition

Recognizing the central role of critical minerals in enabling the energy and digital transitions, this roundtable will explore innovative financial mechanisms and strategies to accelerate sustainable mining projects in Brazil. Bringing together industry leaders, investors, and policymakers, the discussion will focus on what is needed—from a corporate and regulatory standpoint—to unlock investment, streamline project implementation, and strengthen Brazil’s position in global minerals value chains.

The session will also present key findings from the study “Brazil’s Role in the Global Agenda of Strategic and Critical Minerals”, highlighting how Brazil can move from potential to practice by developing midstream and downstream capabilities, fostering technological innovation, and aligning sustainability goals with competitiveness in the energy transition.
