This workshop brings together scientific experts and regional leaders to advance governance innovation for monitoring and responding to planetary risks from nonlinear tipping elements (e.g. AMOC, Amazon).
It will build on the 2025 Global Tipping Points Report concept note for a global network of Tipping Element Monitoring and Response Facilities (TEMRFs). Participants will identify key design considerations, building blocks, and starting points for implementation.
Speakers: Arunabha Ghosh (Council on Energy, Environment, and Water), Carlos Nobre (Science Panel for the Amazon), Jessica Seddon (Institutional Architecture Lab), Karen Ellemann (Nordic Council of Ministers), Manjana Milkoreit (University of Oslo) e Nana Ama Browne (IPCC), TBC Izabella Teixeira (CEBRI)
