Hussein Kalout’s Foreign Affairs Article Examines Current Geopolitical Landscape

Hussein Kalout, International Advisory Board Member at CEBRI and former Special Secretary for Strategic Affairs of the Presidency of the Republic (2016–2018), recently published an article in Foreign Affairs, one of the most prestigious international journals on foreign policy and international relations.

Titled “Trump’s Collision Course With Brazil: How U.S. Policy Is Playing Into China’s Hands—and Remaking Latin America,” the article examines the recent impacts of U.S. foreign policy on bilateral relations between Brazil and the United States, with a focus on economic and diplomatic implications. The author also discusses how this context has influenced Brazil’s strategic positioning on the global stage, particularly in relation to China and regional dynamics in Latin America.
