  • 22 march 2023

This article was prepared for the Conference "Managing Multilateralism with China: The Test Case of BRICS", organised by the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI) and King's College London, as part of the Project for Peaceful Competition.

The conference marked the 11th edition of a series of international meetings promoted by the project and coordinated by King's College London, aimed at reflecting on the major global challenges that require cooperation between the West and the East, particularly with China.

The article examines the role of the BRICS and other groups in serving both their members' global interests and the broader objectives of multilateral cooperation, thereby rendering it more effective, balanced, and inclusive.
