Biography Atila Roque
Átila Roque holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the Instituto Universitário de Pesquisas do Rio de Janeiro (IUPERJ) and a Bachelor’s degree in History from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). He currently serves as Regional Director – Brazil at the Ford Foundation. Roque has previously held executive leadership positions at Amnesty International Brazil, the Institute for Socioeconomic Studies (INESC), and ActionAid International in Washington, D.C. Over a span of 17 years, he occupied various positions at the Brazilian Institute of Social and Economic Analyses (IBASE). He was a visiting researcher for three years at the Asia-Pacific Research Center in Tokyo and has served on the boards of the International Budget Partnership, Just Associates, Greenpeace Brazil, and the Group of Institutes, Foundations and Enterprises (GIFE). He was also a member of the advisory board of the Brazil Human Rights Fund.
