On November 19th, CEBRI, in partnership with IBRACH and with the support of BNDES, held the Sixth Edition of the “Brazil-China Innovation Talks 2019”. During the event, the current economic, investment and policy formulation challenges imposed by climate change on food production and the demands for green energy were discussed. The event's agenda also included the impact and opportunities brought by disruptive technologies in the food and biopharmaceuticals value chain and the performance of Brazil and China in the face of these challenges.
The objective of the seminar was to create a continuous exchange between policymakers, researchers and companies interested in promoting growth and innovation. The event was attended by several experts such as the Director of the Beijing Genomics Institute, Xin Liu; CEBRI's President, José Pio Borges; the Director of IBRACH, Anna Jaguaribe; CEBRI Senior Fellow and Former Minister of the Environment, Izabella Teixeira; the President of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, Luiz Davidovich; the Deputy Director of COPPE UFRJ, Suzana Kahn; CEBRI Senior Fellow, Rogério Studart; and Associate Director and Head of the NY SDSN Office, Emma Torres.
